Web Design

Web Design involves our listening to you and formulating the best organizational structure to most efficiently represent your company on the Internet.

The process of creating a website is straightforward. First, you need a domain name. You may go to ICDSoft to see if your proposed name is available. The best name is one that is simple enough to remember.

Next, you need to visit around other websites (usually belonging to other competitors) to see what you generally like and dislike. Look at the different colors, organization, graphics, etc. to help define what you prefer in your own site. Note the extra interesting information that the other websites contain, that you may consider incorporating. There are also components that you may wish to add, such as a search feature or a guestbook.

Determine who you are trying to attract to your site and for what purpose. Would you like to convey a one-time message, or would you like for them to check back regularly? What is your incentive for them to check back?

In the meantime, think about how you are going to get the word out that you have a new website!

We are able to custom design a site around your requirements. The cost starts at $60/page, including all graphics manipulation, links, and search engine requirements. After we determine your needs, we design a proposed home page and regular page for your approval. A typical website may take between one to two months from initial meeting to completion.

Another possible way to design a website is for you to select a pre-designed template. They can be found on the internet by typing in “website template” on any search engine. The advantage of this is that the design process is faster, but there will be other sites out there that will resemble your site. However, if you find one that you like, we are able to work with the template.

Once the site is coded, it is tested on the most popular browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Navigator, Safari and Opera. We strive to minimize the size of each page so that the user is not kept waiting during the download. You will see the website at this point for any changes before the final product is released.

We are able to do website maintenance, which is updating your website with new information or adding pages to the site. The cost is $30/hour. If you already have a website, but would like to have it redesigned or updated, we can give you a quote on that too.
